STUFF to screen ‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’

The South Texas Underground Film Festival (STUFF) in the US is set to screen Iran’s animated short film ‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’.

‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’, directed by Mahdieh-Sadat Ahmadi-Soleimani, is about “a girl who is involved in the problems of her time and in the end she surrenders to the birds, which she has painted”, a synopsis for the film reads.

The film was named among the silver winners of the Best Short – Animation at the 3rd quarter of the 2020 Queen Palm International Film Festival in the US.

The South Texas Underground’s sole mission is to “engage and inspire the community by screening films without discrimination, creating new films, teaching the art of filmmaking, and networking with fellow filmmakers”, according to an online submission platform.

The 9th edition of STUFF will run from February 25-28, 2021.
